CosmoFresh's sales terminal is a standalone piece of software designed for touchscreen PCs, running independently from the main warehouse management program. Staff at the counter simply select the product and confirm the amount; the transaction is completed and recorded in seconds.
Behind the scenes, the moment staff confirm the sale, that transaction is relayed to the main program in the very same second: the relevant product's stock drops, the balance updates, and the daily sales report refreshes. Two separate programs appear to the user as a single, unified reality.
Why a separate program?
There's a practical reason for keeping the sales terminal separate from the main program: the computer at the counter needs to stay fast and simple. While heavier operations like complex reporting and batch analysis remain in the main program, the sales terminal focuses purely on sales — it doesn't slow down even during busy hours.
Thanks to this architecture, multiple sales terminals can run at the same time in one warehouse; all of them share the same stock and account data in real time.
